Author: Tricia Stringer
Award-winning South Australian author, Tricia Stringer

Tricia grew up on a farm in country South Australia and has spent most of her life in rural communities. She now lives in the beautiful Copper Coast Region of South Australia with her husband Daryl and is often found exploring Australia’s diverse communities and landscapes. She shares her passion for the country and its people through her stories.

Tricia has spent many years in education as a teacher, a librarian and an IT coordinator; she’s owned a post office and bookshop, and worked part-time in another bookshop — stories have been a part of her life for as long as she can remember.

It was a yearning to write stories to bring local history alive for children that started Tricia on the journey to develop her writing skills and begin writing for younger readers, a path that led to her writing adult stories. Tricia loves to walk on the beach and travel to and across Australia’s vast array of communities and landscapes, as well as to overseas destinations. A sense of place in her stories is very important to her.

There’s always another tale to be written… Tricia’s latest book ‘The Model Wife’ is a beautifully realised, multi-generational family story that looks at what happens when real-life betrayals and struggling relationships clash with outdated ideas of what a woman should be.

Tricia’s books are available at all of our library branches. Her latest book ‘The Model Wife’ is on order and will be available soon.
